807 Improv

I had a great night out the other night. A local improv group invited a number of us out to get involved in some serious fun. The 807 Improv group is guided by Paul Saxberg and has only recently restarted when he returned from a quick, ten year visit to Calgary.

The night was fantastic! I’m an old hand at improv, but for some reason I turned shy and stupid when I got in with these new people. No matter. Paul put us all at ease while Keri, Richard and Tamara did a great job of showing us how it was done. The three of us who were new, or fairly new got the hang of it quick enough and were up, inventing story-lines in no time.

The event was hosted at Thunder Games and Gifts, a new gaming shop that has opened up in Thunder Bay. The place was new and clean and very spacious. The owners were nice enough to let us shove all the tables out of the way to give us room to play. I hope to interview Thunder Games and Gifts soon and post a bit more about them. I’m partial to gaming stores.
